Wild Weekly Photo Challenge – Unusual

A couple of unusual things came to mind immediately when I thought about this challenge.

One was this grasshopper with a leg injury  It was able to hop perfectly well and straight but when walking had to drag it's left leg. It seemed as interested in me and my camera as I was of it and I got a quite a number of shots with a willing model.

We had a serious drought in Prince Edward Island this past summer. Grass was not growing fast enough and horses had to be supplemented with dry hay from the year before. This was extremely unusual as our fertile island usually has a healthy rainfall and livestock eats only grass in summer.

Something unusual was also very funny. This couple saw me approaching my car so thought I was going to drive down the road. They immediately got in single file and walked the whole way down the road like that.  They were so close and in such exact rhythm that it seemed they were attached by magnets. Very unusual and such fun to watch.

I’m participating in the online adventure travel and photography magazine LetsBeWild.com’s Wild Weekly Photo Challenge for bloggersThis week’s Challenge is: Unusual!
